Use of the FEM for Treatment Optimization of Finger Flexor Contracture
Original language description
The Article Reports on a Comparative Mechanical Analysis of Two Methods (Compression and Traction) of Treatment of Finger Flexion Contractures. The Treatment Conditions Were Modeled Using Experimental (Photoelastic) and Numarical (FE)Methods. The Comparison of Contact Stresses Evaluated for Different Values of the Angle Between Flexed Phalanges Showed that the Traction Method is Finer to the Joint Cartilage.
