    Lane Departure Warning - Vehicle Support System

    In this paper we introduce several approaches to the lane departure warning system based on different data subsets (such as data from car CAN-BUS and recognition system data). Our goal is to give the driver fast and reliable warning message when he/she involuntary goes off the road lane.We describe 3 different warning methods, their reliability, robustness and make comparison of the presented methods results. Each subsequent method has increasing complexity and the last one is based on prediction of 2ndorder curves intersection. Finally we fuse the introduced methods up by use of fuzzy controls, define false and right lane departure warning situations and a user interface. User interface deals with different types of warning messages and its reliability (suitability) in comparison to user reaction time. In the future work we suggests wider range of parameters in fusion (historical DGPS coordinates, etc.). This paper does not deal with road lane feature extraction but uses its results.
