Improving Aviation Security Using Data Fusion
Original language description
The goal of presented research activity, undergone by the MAD Group at the Department of air transport, CTU in Prague, was to assess the use of data fusion in prescreening process in aviation. Data fusion (DF), as a technological tool, involves the synthesis of intelligence gathering from a broad array of information sources. This implies usage of data fusion techniques within prescreening process as the non-intrusive approach towards increasing security while reducing interruptions of passenger. Sources and types of collected data are presented together with set of parameters used for sorting passenger into different threat groups. The overall design of prescreening systems using decision and parametric data fusion are show followed by the methodic for assessing the best option.
