Importance of logistics centers supported from public sources: case of the Czech Republic
Original language description
The article is dedicated to the concept of logistics support from public sources in the Czech Republic, to the basic allocation and the region selection for public logistic center (PLC) establishment, to the conditions for PLC establishment in the CR andtheir national significance. Our work also focuses on the means of PLC financing with the participation of government and the current state of PLC implementation in the CR. The work points out the positive impact of PLC on regional development, optimization of transportation costs, improving the quality of logistics services, competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises; greater participation of rail transport in total freight traffic volume and return on investment in upgrading backbone transit railway corridors. Last but not least I stressed the requirements of European and national policies, the main tasks to support the PLC, European trends in relation to the allocation of transportation capacities and the focus on ecology
