Prevention of Tram Collisions with Pedestrian: An Issue of Tram Driver's Field of Vision
Original language description
The blind spot of a driver's field of vision in front of a tram vehicle is unknown fact for most of the pedestrians. The tram driver is unable to control a situation around the vehicle and the risk of tram-to-pedestrian collision is therefore high. The aim of this paper is to propose a way to inform pedestrians about this dangerous area. The proposed solution is based on comprehensive analysis of driver's field of vision which was performed on several types of trams operated in Prague.
