Implementation of a Theoretical Model for the Calculation of Slow Vehicle Travel Times on Alternative Routes

  • Original language description

This contribution deals with the results of testing a theoretical model for the calculation of slow vehicle travel times using alternative routes, which have been published in the article “A Theoretical Model for the Calculation of Slow Vehicle Travel Times on Designated Routes” intended for “The Transport Means 2016 conference”. It is a summary of field measurements which were carried out on two sections of actual alternative routes in order to verify the model. Also, the development of an application for testing the model is described in the article. The application was designed in such a way as to allow entering and evaluation of proposed alternative routes by means of an intuitive environment. Subsequently, the model was calibrated using the measured values acquired during field research and verified in order to prove its general relevance to the calculation of travel times.
