Original language description
This paper aims to familiarize the reader with the construction of a discrete and theoretical model for the calculation of slow moving vehicle travel times on routes based on the technical parameters of the route and valid legislation for designing roads. The article describes an analytic algorithm for the calculation of travel times using a purely deterministic approach. The assumption of the model is that the vehicle is moving on every section of its route as fast as the regulations allow and the geometry of the route allows (especially road width configurations, horizontal and vertical alignment etc.). This so-called analytical model, compared to other transport models, brings into the calculation new factors and decision criteria, which have major impacts on the outcome. As a result, this model should be closer to the real values of slow vehicle travel times on the route.
