Elimination of adverse meteorological conditions during takeoff and landing

  • Original language description

Air transportation has undergone a significant and noteworthy development over time. No other mode of transport has achieved such development as aviation and it is rightly considered the safest mode of transport. More powerful and safer systems are being developed, with an increasing level of automation eliminating the risk of human error. Weather has always had a significant impact on flight. Thanks to the modern technology, commercial aviation becomes less and less dependent on weather; however, it is still one of the main factors affecting air transport safety. Hence, pilots should have good meteorological knowledge. The training syllabus of pilots includes piloting under unfavorable and difficult meteorological conditions to help enhance the safe flight performance.
