The growth of the self-assembled structure colloidal particles has been studied. Interactions between doublets of carbon black particles are interpreted in terms of DLVO approximation of interaction energy.There are fifth phases of the system of colloidal rods: gas, columnar liquid crystal, smectic LC, nematic LC, solid. The final morpholgy of the solid depends on the route in the phase diagram.
