    A general model, the so called Maen Molecular Weight Model (MMWM), of complexation of metal cations with humic acid was proposed. The model was based on the results of studies of electrophoretic mobility of humate complexes and was verified with experimental data obtained in the study of complexation of Eu(III) using ion exchange method.
