Geometry Based Localization Algorithms In Acoustic Emission
Original language description
The paper deals with the problem of localization of acoustic emission (AE) sources on general surfaces using the theory of dfferential geometry. More precisely, we present a localization algorithm based on the theory of geodesic curves. First, we have alook at the theoretical background of the problem, which is particularly the geodesic equations and the method of obtaining their solution. Next, the localization algorithm itself is described. At the end of the paper, the implementation of the algorithmto the model of a pressure vessel with incoming pipelines is shown and test results are presented.
