    Mechanical Properties and Stability of the Microstructure of Cast Nickel Superalloy IN792-5A After Long-Term Exposure at High Temperatures

    The effect of a long-term exposure (LTE) at high temperature (900°C) up to 10 000 hours on the structure, mechanical properties, morphology and distribution of gamma' particles of cast Ni-based superalloy Inconel IN792-5A was studied. Before LTE, part ofthe specimens was subjected to a three stage heat treatment (HT) 1120°C/4h/air + 1080°C/4h/air + 845°C/24h/air. Nearly no differences in mechanical properties were found in the as-cast and HT condition. According to quantitative stereologic analysis (QSA), higher number of gamma' particles was found in the material after HT than in the as-cast state. Furthermore, the size of gamma' particles in the HT material was more uniform. Even after LTE of 10000 hours, the heat treated material maintained a better distribution of gamma' particles than as-cast specimens.

    Byl studován vliv žíhání při 900°C v rozsahu do 10 000 hodin na mechanické vlastnosti, morfologii a distribucu částic gamma' ve slitině IN792-5A. Část vzorků byla podrobena tepelnému zpracování 1120°C/4h/vzduch + 1080°C/4h/vzduch + 845°C/24h/vzduch. Nebyl pozorován rozdíl mech. vlastností u vzorků v litém stavu po tepelném zpracování. Kvantitativní stereologická analýza prokázala větší počet a lepší homogenizaci částic gamma' u vzorků po tepelném zpracování jak ve výchozím stavu tak po žíhání v rozsahu10 000 hodin.
