The neutron diffraction method is used on a large scale in solid-state physics and materials research. The high penetration of neutrons through the majority of materials is the main advantage for examination of the textures of coarse-grained materials like oriented transformer sheets. We have examined the coarse-grained samples of the Fe-3%Si oriented silicon steel and the relationship between the final texture form and the temperatures of the primary and secondary cold rolling was characterized. The complete texture parameters were determined by the ODF function from neutron diffraction data:
