In this contribution we report on laser results reached by Pr-doped oxide and fluoride crystals under GaN-laser diode pumping at room temperature. As oxide and fluoride crystal representatives, Pr:YAlO3 (Pr:YAP) and Pr:LiYF4 (Pr:YLF) crystals grown by the Czochralski method were used and compared. Using the Pr:YAP crystal, more than 90 mW of continuous laser radiation at 747 nm was generated with a slope efficiency of 45 %. Moreover, two wavelength generation at 747 nm and 720 nm reached by Lyot filtertuning has been realized. In the case of Pr:YLF material, stimulated emission at 721 nm, 640 nm, and 607 nm has been demonstrated.
