Fe:ZnSe Laser Radiation Transmission by Hollow Waveguide

  • Original language description

A special type of COP/Ag hollow waveguide was investigated for delivery of mid-infrared 4.3 ?m radiation generated by Fe:ZnSe laser. This system was pumped by electro-optically Q-switched 2.94 ?m Er:YAG laser radiation. The generated Fe:ZnSe laser outputenergy was 1.1 mJ with the pulse-length 300 ns. The maximum transmission of 4.3 ?m radiation through the 700 um waveguide with 1 m length reached 64 %. Bent waveguide transmission was also investigated and 60% was obtained.
