Transfer of Fe:ZnSe Laser Radiation by Hollow Waveguide

  • Original language description

Transfer of mid-infrared Fe:ZnSe laser radiation at 4.45 ?m by a special type of cyclic olefin polymer coated silver hollow glass waveguide with 700 ?m inner diameter was reported. This laser system was pumped by electro-optically Q-switched 2.94 ?m Er:YAG laser radiation. For 1.1 mJ Fe:ZnSe laser energy with pulse duration 300 ns, the waveguide transmission of 4.45 ?m radiation reached up to 64%. Bent waveguide showed the transmission decrease to 60%.
