    Laser-supported ionization wave in under-dense gases and foams

  • Original language description

    Propagation of laser-supported ionization wave in homogeneous and porous materials with a mean density less than the critical plasma density is studied theoretically in the one-dimensional geometry. It is shown that the velocity of the ionization wave ina foam is significantly decreased in comparison with the similar wave in a homogeneous fully ionized plasma of the same density.
