Study of Mechanical Properties of Structural Steels by Small Punch Test
Original language description
Time independent Small Punch Test (SPT) was adopted at Department of Materials, FNSPE CTU. Self-developed methods were applied to study various ferritic, martensitic, bainitic, austenitic and ODS steels. It has been proved, SPT is able to reach unexpectedly good reproducibility as well as to unambiguously detect changes in material structure or mechanical properties. Fractographic analysis was found to be an irreplaceable supplement of evaluation procedures.
