Original language description
Temperature dependence of spectroscopic and laser properties of diode pumped laser based on new Tm3+:LuF3-CaF2 crystal were investigated for the first time with maximum output energy up to 20 mJ and slope efficiency 64 %. From the results it follows that the temperature has a strong influence on laser slope efficiency and laser threshold. With decreased of temperature from 300K to 78 K the slope efficiency increased two times and the laser threshold decreased three times.
