Original language description
Determination of 129I/127I ratio in environmental samples. AMS measurements of 129I on MILEA are still not fully routinely established. Measurement of 129I in artificial and real environmental samples, and intercomparison among different AMS laboratories is crucial for optimization and standardization of the instrument and measurement method, as well as for its analytical accuracy. Initial tests show excellent performance of MILEA for 129I AMS [1]. Hence, the measurement of 129I in AgI target prepared from environmental and testing samples was planned on two MILEA systems at LIP, ETH Zürich and at RAMSES laboratory, Rez, Czech Republic. The first 129I measurements of environmental samples on the MILEA at ETH are presented here.
