Changing planning in the Czech Republic
Original language description
The 'post-planned' society that evolved from the transformation of the 1990s and involved the following EU integration shares current changes and problems with the 'old' EU member countries. Moreover, it also faces specific challenges both from the 'outside' in terms of economy, environment and its specific position as a 'newcomer' to the EU, and from the 'inside' with the inertia of the planning system, institutions and behavior of actors. The text deals in brief with the most significant features of the recent and ongoing changes related to planning, with references to the historic constraints that influence them.
