Hosting Dr Cristian Suau PhD (University of Strathclyde, Scotland) Theme: Public Space Activation through Interventions: Remaking public space All cities have spaces that are ?public? but not an active part of public life. This workshop will explore specific strategies to activate these urban dead zones with temporary interventions; thereby, multiplying the usefulness and value of public space. The workshop objectives; 1. Students will focus on the activities of public space in an existing context rather than the making of the space. They will have the opportunity to change public space only through temporary interventions. 2. Students will be required to explore alternative resources, bringing renewed usefulness to materials that have completed one useful life. 3. Students will interact directly with the public in public space with ideas as the focus.
