YEARLY RELATIVE HUMIDITY STUDY IN A PREWAR BRICKWORK HOUSE IN BUBLAVA
Original language description
This study presents field monitoring of indoor relative humidity in a vernacular mountain family house constructed of brickwork in 1911. The case study building remains largely in its original condition, providing an opportunity to examine the hygrothermal behaviour of traditional brick structures. Due to the permeable nature of brickwork, moisture can transfer between the interior and exterior environments. We investigated the influence of seasonal changes on indoor relative humidity to identify both the advantages and limitations of the building’s performance.
