Mathematical Modeling as a Tool for Recognition of Causes of Disorders in QT/RR Interval Relationship in Equine ECG
Original language description
The paper describes some of the mathematical models of the cardiovascular system control that were used for explaining processes running in an equine heart and that can represent certain specific phenomena observed in real equine ECG data. The models arebased on multiplicative and additive relationship between QT intervals, heart rate, and sympathetic and parasympathetic neural activity. The simulation experiments with the models explain prolonging of the QT intervals evoked by acceleration of heart rate in a great number of equine long-term ECG records as well as certain other events in real equine ECG records. The most promising results were obtained by means of the additive model of the cardiovascular control with delays.
