    Laser effect on the mechanical properties of human skin in-vivo

    Laser beams can cause tissue to react in different ways, depending on the wavelength, the density, length of exposure and absorption in the tissue: stimulative, thermally, photodynamically and acoustically. At higher levels, increases in the temperaturecan also better treat tissue. The main aim of this study is to determine the change of mechanical properties of human skin in-vivo in dynamical loading during the application of low-energy laser. Mechanical parameters of human skin were determined by thehelp of RMA (Resonance Mechanical Analysis) instruments for measuring body surface. From damping, angular frequency, and mass of inertial member we can determine the overall complex stiffness of the system. Measurements were performed with the Biolase 10TM device (BIOLASE, USA), with a wavelength of 904 nm. Two series of measurements were performed; the first was in the right hand thenar muscle with an irradiation output of 1 W at a continuous mode, and the second was in a pulsed mode a
