Time Regulated Nanofiber Composite Drug Delivery Systems for Biomedical Use
Original language description
Herein, coaxial electrospinning was introduced as a sophisticated method for drug delivery, producing nanofibers with a strictly organized core-shell structure. Biomolecules such as proteins (alpha-granules and horseradish peroxidase), and biomolecules encapsulated into liposomes have been directly incorporated into the nanofiber core, affording protection from the environment by the shell. The results showed that the coaxial nanofibers are a promising system for biomedical applications.
