    We compare the optical properties of PbS nanoparticles (PbS-NPs) prepared by the Langmuir?Blodget (L-B) method, the Laser Ablation (LA) and Reactive Laser Ablation (RLA). Their optical properties and thermal stability we characterize by the optical setupfor the steady -state photoluminescence measurements in the near infrared spectral range 850-1600 nm. The surface appearance we study by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Finally, we present the first realization of LED based on a -Si:H diode structures with embedded Langmuir?Blodget PbS nanoparticles and their I?V (current vs. voltage) characteristics and electroluminescence properties. For the next optimization of perspective devices for photonics we developed a new combined vacuum technology for forming and deposition of PbS nanoparticles, which can be in -situ embedded in the amorphous hydrogenated silicon thin films (a-Si:H).
