The Use of Experimental Data on Innovative Materials in Standard Performance Evaluation of Asphalt Pavements
Original language description
The pending innovation of the Pavement Catalogue (Standard Specifications TP 78) requires the necessary fundamental decisions to be made on the methodology of pavement performance evaluation with regard to the required implementation of innovative construction materials. The results of experimental research on material behaviour of innovative asphalt mixes must be confronted with assumptions adopted in the current pavement design method in order to account for mechanical properties of these asphaltic pavement materials in the way compatible with the present Standard Specifications TP 77 design criteria.
