The report deals with a comparison of a response (to an explosion) of dividing walls with 65 mm and 140 mm thickness. The dynamical load on the dividing walls has been induced by an explosion of an methane-air mixture behind the wall. The matter is the comparison of mathematical counts with experimental values performed in a test gallery. Brick walls of chosen thickness have been built in the testing reinforced concrete wall. The overpressure from the moment of explosion lasted about 1 s and fractions of seconds and was longer than the basic genuine period of the brick wall. Pressure waves generated by the gas mixture explosion have been increased incrementally up to the break of the structure.
