Probabilistic time-variant reliability analysis using Turkstra's rule and renewal processes
Original language description
Approaches to probabilistic analysis of time-variant structural reliability based on Turkstra's rule and renewal processes are critically reviewed. Maximum load effect related to the specified observed period using Turkstra's rule is determined. Rectangular wave renewal processes with intermittencies are then accepted for variable actions. Lower and upper bounds on the failure probability are provided. The described approaches are applied to analyse reliability of a generic structural member designed inaccordance with the twin expressions (6.10a) and (6.10b) given in EN 1990 (2005). Results show that Turkstra's rule and the upper bound yield very similar results. It appears that the reliability level is dependent on the ratio of the total characteristic variable load to the total characteristic load. Reliability level of the member, however, seems to be rather high. Parametric study shows that the psi0-values in EN 1990 (2005) lead to an acceptably well-balanced reliabilit

Pravděpodobnostní rozbor časově závislé spolehlivosti s využitím Turkstrova pravidla a obnovovaných procesů
