Analysis of Vibro-based Isolated Building
Original language description
The paper deals with the application of an elastic antivibration layer at foundation base level in order to eliminate excessive vibrations propagating to the building through the subsoil from an underground railway structure. The principle of double RC plates with embedded elastomer/rubber layer involves consistent separation of the upper part of the structure from the foundation. The layer of elastomer was considered as the elastic subsoil of the Winkler-Pasternak model below the whole area of the upper part of the foundation plate. The nonstationary time history of vibration is used as an excitation of the structure. An assessment of the effectiveness of the sprung system can be based on a comparison between the measured vibrations and the vibrationlevel of the individual storeys for isolated and nonisolated structure. The springing is, consequently, a very efficient instrument for reduce the transfer of vibration.
