Assessment of a Remaining Working Life of Energetic Devices Using Service Data
Original language description
Numerous fossil power stations in the Czech Republic and their key devices are reaching their design working life. The data from measurements and statistical methods may be applied with advantage for estimating a remaining working life. The paper discusses statistical methods appropriate for such analyses and provides suggestions for practical applications. Important steps of the analysis include selection of a suitable regression model and estimation of probability of exceeding a limiting value. Inherent randomness and trend of the observed parameter as well as statistical uncertainty due to a limited amount of the data should be taken into account. Aleatory uncertainties due to randomness and actual trend of the observed parameter as well as epistemic uncertainty due to lack of data and imprecision of a test method should be taken into account. Implementation of the theoretical procedures for the prediction of a remaining working life of important energetic devices is illustrated considering service data of the capacity of a generator and creep of steam piping.
