Experimental Analysis of Stress inside the Sandwich Composite
Original language description
The aim of the article is focused on experimental analysis of stress inside the sandwich composite structure. Six experimental test specimens are composed of three layers. Outer layers have been made from epoxy-resin-impregnated glass laminates with plain weave. The light weight foam Divinycell H100 has been used as core of the sandwich composite structure. Two optic-fibre strain gauges, SOFO SMARTape Compact deformation sensors, were installed between outer layer and core of the sandwich composite structure during specimen manufacturing. The three point bending test has been chosen for long-term loading of the sandwich composite structure. Experimentally obtained data have been used for creation of mathematical model of stress inside the sandwich composite structure according to the test conditions (i.e. changes of temperature).
