Original language description
Monitoring provides valuable information to be used for the decision making about the maintenance and rehabilitation of existing structures. Several problems had to be commonly solved during the monitoring including the selection of technique, suitable position of monitoring devices on structures, data transmission and backup, uncertainties in measurements and defects of hardware. It is shown that inspection and monitoring of a selected heritage structure support decision on its further exploitation and on the needs for its rehabilitation.
