The Experimental Verification of the Utilization of the Fine Fraction of Recycled Aggregate
Original language description
The main aim of this contribution is the verification of the mechanical and durability properties of the concrete with the utilization of fine fraction of recycled aggregate from construction and demolition waste. The use of fine recycled aggregate in concrete mixtures is usually complicated by the higher impurity of soil, dust and clay contents. For this reason, it is necessary to use high quality recycled material originating from the multistep recycling process. The main topic of this article is the study of the influence of partial replacement of sand by fine recycled aggregate. Furthermore, the verification of the utilization of partial replacement of cement in concrete mixtures. The results of testing of compressive strength, flexural strength, modulus of elasticity and freeze-thaw resistance are presented.
