Phenol, Trichloroethylene and Dimethyl Disulfide Removal by Comamonas testosteroni
Original language description
The work describes the ability of Comamonas testosteroni RF2 to remove three different types of pollutants - phenol, trichloroethylene and dimethyl disulfide. Removal of phenol and trichloroethylene is based on the ability of the strain to produce enzymephenolhydroxylase and so utilize phenol as the growth substrate and degrade trichloroethylene cometabolically. The ability to remove dimethyl disulfide is done by unknown enzyme system of this bacterial species.
