Moldflow Importance for Mechanical Design of the Injection Molds
Original language description
The price parameters are mostly influenced in the development and preparing stage of the production. It is plastic part and mold design and technological optimization of the injection process. If computer and software solvers are used in this productionstage then solution could be done in the virtual reality of the computer memory. We were focused on solving the polymer melting in the injection mold and mechanical design of the injection mold. Injection mould parts loaded from the injection pressure inthe cavity insert and injection machine clamping force. The load computation was run using the flow solver MOLDFLOW MPI 3. Stress and deflection of the mold base and cavity was evaluated with help of FEM analysis solver COSMOS DesignSTAR 3.
