Modification of footwear lining materials and possibities for decreasing mycotic and bacterial foot disease
Original language description
The ideal anti-microbial substance should have a broad range of effectiveness, i.e. it should act simultaneously on bacteria, mould, yeasts and the like. It should kill or at least delay the latter's reproduction. Lining material treated with anti-microbial treatment should also have the ability to maintain a suitable level of moisture so that the skin is protected against desiccation and the danger of occurring skin cracks with subsequent complications should be decreased.
