Original language description

The effect of filler on enthalpy and volume relaxation of amorphous matrix has been investigated. Atactic-poly(methyl methacrylate), a-PMMA, was used as polymer matrix and carbon black, CB, as nanofiller. Mercury-in-glass dilatometry and differential scanning calorimetry methods were used to detect the isothermal changes in volume and enthalpy. In general, addition of filler changes the kinetics and parameters of relaxation, it results in a decrease of enthalpy and volume relaxation responses and rates.
