PP/PET Blends: Effect of Compatibilization on the Rheological Behaviour.
Original language description
Blending of significant waste materials such as polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) represents an alternative recycling technology without need of separation procedures. The rheological properties of modified and unmodified PP/PET blends having up to 50 wt.% PET were ascertained and compared in this study with regard to several influencing aspects, i.e. matrix type, compatibilization technique, blend composition, temperature, rheology-morphology relationship and deformation applied during measurements (steady state vs. oscillatory regimes of rotational rheometer).
