An increase in body weight leads to an increase in foot dimensions both in length and width and to an increase in the risk of occurrence of foot deformity. The other negative consequences of obesity are higher local foot pressures. The aim of this studyis testing of prophylactic footwear for diabetics, which is constructed in such a way that it protects against the occurrence of any local pressures of the footwear on the feet. Footwear was testing over the course of wear by obese women.

Czech description
Zvýšené zatížení nohou způsobené nadměrnou hmotností může vést ke zvětšování rozměrů nohou v délce i šířce a zvyšuje se tak riziko deformit nohou. Dalším negativním důsledkem obezity jsou vysoké lokalní tlaky na noze. Cilem této studie je testování profylaktické obuvi pro diabetiky, která zabraňuje výskytu vysokých lokálních tlaků na noze. Obuv byla testována nošením obézními ženami.
