Electrical Conductivity Response to Structural Relaxation of a-PMMA Filled with Carbon Black and Carbon Nanotubes
Original language description
The phenomenon of structural relaxation is mainly investigated by enthalpy or volume isothermal measurements. It is possible to significantly change conductivity of polymers by its blending with conducting filer. In the case of composite based as PMMA/carbon black, CB, percolation threshold is found somewhere around concentration 5 vol. % of CB on carbon nanotubes, when conductivity increases over nine orders comparing to pure PMMA. This fact is usually explained by creating of conductive paths by carbon black particles in insulator polymer matrix. This structure is very sensitive to volume changes implicated creating or destroying of conductivity paths, with strong dispersion in glass transition region. According this, the measurement of electrical conductivity is capable to detect sample changes caused either by thermal expansion but also by isothermal structural relaxation of the material.

Odezva v elektrické vodivosti na strukturní relaxaci PMMA plněného uhlíkovými nanotrubicemi
Czech description
% a vodivost roste skoncentrací plniva.
