The personality of the project manager, his skills and abilities influence the firm#s, company#s and organization#s run and success very considerably. The project manager has to know and has to master the essential ethical standards of his firm. But he should to orientate in the ethical standards of other firms, especially in the standards of the firms, that his firm is in a contact or in the business relationship or the firm wants to connect the business contact in future. In this paper I deal with theevaluation of the construction firms from the viewpoint of the elementary productive factor # human labour, and this especially from the viewpoint of the evaluation of the project managers, their current qualities and characters, those are regarded as the potential of improvement of the competitiveness of the construction firms in Czech republic.
