    This article first introduces the term the learning organisation and concrete characteristics of companies bearing this denotation. It explains the reason why there is a certain need to convert the #usual# company into the learning organisation and it illustrates the main contribution expected of this transformation. It also answers the questions how to create culture of learning organisation, what is the meaning of learning in this organisation and how the organisation learns. Many organisations is recently conscious of need of education not only for their employees but also for the organisation as such. That is why attention is paid also to concrete obstacles that may stand in the uneasy way to the learning organisation. You will learn how to recognize these barriers and what are their causes, which will help you to avoid them.
