Production and logistical processes are some of the most critical processes in every industrial enterprise. Mastering these processes has a direct influence not only upon the entrepreneurial activities of individual firms, but also on the whole of the supplier-customer chain and on industrial branches as a whole. For this very reason, these processes have always been, are and will continue to be the centre of interest in the exploitation and use of modern information systems and technologies. ERP systems represent a key software infrastructure for production and logistics management. Their effective application in everyday working practice should however not take place without the use of the corresponding methods for the planning and management of production and logistics processes.
