This paper presents the results of research, which was focused on the analysis of social responsible business of Tomas Bata (1876-1932) and Bata Management System before 1945. Aim if the research was to investigate how socially responsible approach of Bata Company before 1945 operated. Consequently, this research determined how the core elements of Bata`s CSR might be applied into current business environment. The research is divided into two parts. Firstly, it is focused on the research of archival documents. The first part is focused on the research of archival documents. It is based on the method of oral history - testimony of the witnesses - the people who have experienced Bata Management System before 1945. Furthermore, the method of biographicalresearch and the method of phenomenological research was applied. Using historical data analysis, there were established basic principles of CSR in Bata Company before 1945. The second part of the research is aimed on finding attitude of
