Roles in Business Process Management
Original language description
Business Process Management, both managerial discipline and its supportive software applications, is held in focus of managers in practice and researchers in academia for several years. Despite projects and research in implementation methodology, redesign, automation etc., many of these initiatives failed. Although there is awareness about roles of process owners and others, only very little consensus exists in what they do or should do, or what competencies they have or should have. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to present preliminary results of research focused on most common roles in Business Process Management in Czech organizations with regard to their tasks and subsequent competencies in process management and improvement.
