The tourism infrastructure in the Czech regions - Multi-criteria comparison
Original language description
The regions inside a country might be taken from the tourism point of view as destination areas. Their development and infrastructure can be compared and measured via several mathematical, statistical or econometric models. Reasons for these analysis might be different - the comparison of economic activity, ICT development, natural resources, cultural heritage etc. The aim of this article is to compare the 14 Czech regions from the tourism infrastructure point of view using 22 criteria describing main characteristic of the region infrastructure (culture, healthcare, natural wealth, transport infrastructure, energy, ICT). For the comparison, the TOPSIS method, as one of the multi-criteria evaluation methods, is applied to find out the order of the regions in the years 2015, 2016 and 2017. Afterwards the main differences among both the regions and among the selected years are mentioned.
