Evaluation of the Czech Regions from the Tourism Infrastructure Point of View Using TOPSIS Method
Original language description
The development of regions inside a country can be compared and measured via several mathematical, statistical or econometric models. Reasons for these analysis might be different – the comparison of economic activity, ICT development, natural resources, cultural heritage etc. The aim of this article is to compare the 14 Czech regions from the tourism infrastructure point of view. In the analysis 22 criteria are used and the TOPSIS method, as one of the multi-criteria evaluation methods, is applied so as to find out the order of the regions in the years 2015 and 2016. Afterwards the main differences among the regions and between the selected years are mentioned.
