This paper focuses on the current state of the art assistive technologies, human-machine interface, and its applications in education. We present here simple tasks based on structured lights with light and 1-D and 2-D CCD or PSD arrays for student exercises in optoelectronics, like head and body motion joystick, automatic parking equipment and the range-inclination tracer.
